Upcycled treasures from the ashes of consumerism

Great exposure at First Thursday in Austin

I set up a booth yesterday at First Thursday, an eclectic arts and crafts fair in central Austin. It was a fun time because so many types of people stopped to talk about their dogs and squeal over my dog clothes designs. I heard a lot of laughter over some of the funnier designs, and I heard a lot of people exclaiming, “Oh, how cute!” I had my trusty sidekicks, Zoe and Lily, to model my t-shirts and keep me company. I was also lucky that so many family and friends stopped by to say “hello.” Thanks so much for your support, everyone!

Many of the shoppers took my promotional flyers home with them, and I’m hoping it results in more traffic to my website and Etsy store. People seemed really interested in my custom ordering service.

My next event is in Georgetown on March 12. If you couldn’t make it yesterday, try to stop by Second Saturday in Georgetown’s downtown square. The square is a throwback to the golden days in America. It’s something to see!
